Musicomics Romics Music for Images Award

Romics announces the new prize addressed to music, MUSICOMICS – Romics Music for Images Award realized under the patronage of SIAE and Nuovo IMAIE, during which some professionals of ‘’music for images’’ will receive special awards focused on music for animation, videogames, cinema and TV series.   

Thanks to MUSICOMICS, Romics intends to further promote these extraordinary productions. National and international high profile people, from the music world, carefully selected by a Quality Giury.

The prizes awarded on the first edition are:

·    Best Soundtrack

·    Best Videogame Soundtrack

·    Best Song

·    Best Music Dubbing

·    Best Films and TV Performance

MUSICOMICS Romics Music for Images will also confer a Special Mention to foreign productions in sinergy with ACMF - Associazione Compositori Musica per Film as well as Special Prizes dedicated to the memory of two great friends of the festival such as Maestro Andrea Lo Vecchio and Maestro Luigi Albertelli, esteemed professionals who have led the way and left a huge legacy to all who work in this sector. The awards dedicated to them are: the Lifetime Achievement Award Luigi Albertelli and the Critics’ Prize Andrea Lo Vecchio, decided by the Press Jury composed by the following music journalists and critics: Jodie Alivernini (Rai Radio2), Marco Testoni (colonnesonore.net and Soundtrack City), Maura Cenciarelli (Radio Elettrica), Dj Osso (Rai Radio 2), Lorenzo Nutini (RadioAnimati), Alessandro Falciatore (Animeclick), Fabio Fiume (All Music Italia).

Further institutional prizes will be awarded by SIAE (best soundtrack for an italian animated film) and Nuovo IMAIE (best music performance for a TV theme song and best dubbing performance in a musical film).

The works in competition for the nomination will be examinated by a Selection Jury composed by high profile people belonging to the sector.

Honorary President of the Jury is Maestro Vince Tempera, composer, conductor, keyboardist and arranger; the MUSICOMICS Award is supervised by the Creative Direction of Mirko Fabbreschi, composer, musician, dubber, singer, TV writer, professor, author of soundtracks and theme songs.

MUSICOMICS – Romics Music for Images Award is realized under the patronage of SIAE and Nuovo IMAIE, with the collaboration of ACMF – Associazione Compositori Musica per Film and the media partnership of Radio Animati, All Music Italia, colonnesonore.net, Soundtrack City, Radio Elettrica, Dj Osso Radio and Animeclick.

The event will take place on Saturday 8 October 2022 at 15.30 at Pala Romics – Sala Grandi Eventi e Proiezioni.
